Foundation Partners Group Adds David C. Gross and Hebrew Memorial Funeral Homes

Orlando, FL – March 19, 2019 – Foundation Partners Group, a leading provider of innovative funeral and cemetery experiences and products, has announced the acquisition of David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Centers located in St. Petersburg, FL and Clearwater, FL, and Hebrew Memorial Funeral Services in Sarasota, FL. The acquisition expands Foundation Partners presence in Florida to 24 locations.

“The acquisition of David C. Gross and Hebrew Memorial offers a wonderful opportunity to expand upon our growing network in the Tampa metro area” stated Bob Bukala, Foundation Partners Group President and CEO. “David has been selflessly serving his community for nearly 40 years and has developed a reputation for superior, personalized service – just the kind of firm with which we want to affiliate. David has embraced the innovations required to meet the changing needs of today’s consumer and we are thrilled that he and his team have chosen to join the Foundation Partners family.”

David Gross began his career by purchasing an existing funeral home in St. Petersburg in 1979, just as he was graduating from mortuary school, making him the youngest licensed funeral home owner in Florida. After acquiring several competitors in the 80s and 90s, Gross expanded to a second location in Clearwater, FL in 2010. He expanded again in 2015 with Hebrew Memorial in Sarasota, FL at the request of the local Jewish community.

“I’m very excited to join such a creative and forward-thinking organization,” said David Gross, owner of David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Hebrew Memorial. “I’ve experienced working with other consolidators in the past, but Foundation Partners is different. They are progressive and open minded about creating the life celebrations today’s families really want. They also provide far more operational autonomy along with enhanced benefits for the staff. For everyone here, it’s a great match.”

“David C. Gross and Hebrew Memorial enjoy an outstanding reputation in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota markets and are wonderful additions to the Foundation Partners family,” stated Mike Bischoff, Vice President of Business Development at Foundation Partners Group. “Our organizations are a natural fit as we share the same desire to provide the highest level of personalized service to those we are privileged to serve.”
