Alexander brings a unique blend of long-term care and funeral experience to position.
Orlando, FL – Foundation Partners Group (FPG), a leading provider of innovative funeral, cemetery and cremation experiences and products, has announced the hiring of Kitty Alexander as Manager, Community Outreach and Marketing. In her position, Alexander will assist the FPG location leaders in building relationships with hospitals, clergy, church/community groups and other organizations involved with the end-of-life continuum of care for families before, during and after a death is experienced. In addition, she will help FPG locations plan and implement their community outreach calendars, providing healing experiences (seminars and workshops) for the communities they serve as a part of FPG’s trademarked ShareLife® approach.
Alexander brings more than a decade of long-term care experience to the position as well as diverse background in funeral service spanning almost ten years. She began her funeral service career as a funeral director in Mississippi and later served as advance sales counselor with a firm in Tennessee. After her tenure in funeral service, she joined a long term care company in East Tennessee, which owned and managed four retirement communities, where she held various marketing, sales and community relations positions with the company.
“Kitty possesses a deep understanding and broad knowledge of both funeral service and long-term care,” stated Justin Baxley, Chief Customer Officer for Foundation Partners Group. “She will empower our local brands to better understand the needs of those in the continuum of care for patients and families as we work together to serve our communities with excellence and compassion.”
Alexander also will assist in the design and implementation of the company’s coordinated marketing efforts that include both traditional and digital media. Additionally, she will be involved in developing a relationship marketing plan for each FPG location.
“I absolutely love working with people from all walks of life and at different stages in the continuum of care,” said Alexander. “I love hearing their stories and allowing them to share memories. Whether it’s at a long term care facility or in an arrangement office, when you listen closely, you can determine what someone needs, especially if they are hesitant to tell you directly.”
Alexander has a bachelor’s degree in biology from East Tennessee State University as well as an associate degree in funeral service from Gupton-Jones College. Additionally, she has experience dealing in OSHA matters, state surveys and Medicare audits.
